Our last crawler meetings

Ibbenbüren - Saturday, May 13th, 2023

Absolute t-shirt weather. At 10 a.m. it was still a bit fresh at the Dörenther cliffs. But later it was a pleasant 23 degrees in the forest.

Everyone was welcome. With or without a crawler. The main thing is that you have fun and are interested in these remote-controlled vehicles. With 18 first-class crawlers, forest and meadow boxes and real Sunday and fair-weather vehicles, it then went up a randomly chosen course. The most common vehicles were there. From Absima Sherpa to FM Electrics, GMade, MST, Reely, Traxxas, Axial, etc., they all rode them confidently over extremely rooted forest floors and rocky terrain.

Around noon, having arrived at the really big rocks, of course everyone tried their hand at a 45-degree incline. The rock was made for the little all-rounders, but still a bit slippery due to the last rainy days. Only the crawlers with the lowest center of gravity and tires with the best grip made it. There weren't many. It does not matter anyway. After all, the focus here was only on having fun together.

Around 2 p.m., when we arrived at the so-called "Almhütte", we finally got something to quench our thirst and rumbling stomach. With around 20 crawler enthusiasts there was a lot of small talk and shop talk. The many guests who were already present also had their fun. Especially their children. Who sees a real 1:10 crawler in the wild - 18 of them? And then sometimes with a powerful bubbling V8 sound (image 3). The sound module can be seen in Figure 1.
