OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
OUR TOP SELLER LINKS AND AXLE WEIGHTS
Custom made crawler links, link risers, axle weights
We manufacture solid brass links and axle weights, as well as link risers for all vehicles from A like Absima to T like Traxxas to Y like Yikong and Z like Zvezda.
Set the center of gravity of your crawler significantly lower and tackle any terrain, no matter how difficult, at any speed.
Heavy brass links and axle weights automatically mean significantly more grip and traction. No more spinning wheels.
Defeat your astonished competition confidently on every incline without tipping over. The next trophies are definitely yours.
We value precision, quality and aesthetics
The fan community of RC crawlers primarily attaches great importance to aesthetics and quality. The cars should look absolutely real and be just as real to drive. All accessories must therefore be of the highest quality. Nobody wants cheap goods from the Far East on their expensive RC car.
For our links and all other accessories that shift the focus, we have therefore decided exclusively on solid brass. It is an extremely elegant-looking metal, while at the same time having the greatest possible mass and highest resistance to corrosion. In our opinion, the yellow-gold color goes best with the often black underbody of RC crawlers.
The high precision of our processing - in the hundredth of a millimeter range (µm = micrometer) - is a matter of course for us. Bores that are not exactly centered in a drive shaft cause an imbalance, which in turn leads to unwanted noise and ultimately causes bearing damage. Due to the aesthetics, all cut edges of our brass parts are finally given a small, exactly constant radius.
Crawler link production and over 35 years of professional experience
As a trained lathe operator with more than 35 years of professional experience in metalworking, I quickly realised as a long-time model building enthusiast and RC car driver where the problems lie with crawlers in difficult terrain. The centre of gravity must be lowered! Otherwise you can't win a flower pot.
I have already manufactured hundreds of link sets and axle weights for more than 50 models in my own workshop. Plus many other accessories made of brass and stainless steel, customised according to customer requirements. My most important experience is that simply replacing parts doesn't work. A great deal of experience and expertise is required in the manufacture of modelling accessories and spare parts.
We are now a small family business. Word of the high quality of our links and other customised products has already spread throughout the EU. Our customers already include well-known RC pilots, major modelling companies and entire clubs.
Low vehicle center of gravity for RC Truck Trial & Crawler
Especially with trials and crawling, it is primarily about driving as precisely as possible on the most impassable terrain and not tipping over. This requires the vehicle's center of gravity to be as low as possible. Lead inserts are often used in the wheels to cope with the steepest slopes.
The best option, however, is to replace the lowest-lying parts, e.g. on an RC crawler, with parts that are as heavy as possible. The obvious thing to do here is to completely replace the existing links, which are often made of cheap and far too light plastic, with crawler links made of solid brass.
To protect the environment, lead weights should always be avoided. The lead balls that are often used to weigh and trim your RC models are quickly lost on the forest floor. Over time, they poison the groundwater and thus the trees. Our high-quality and individually manufactured brass axle weights are just as effective and also make much more ecological sense.
Weight specifications for our brass crawler links
For the exact weight of our brass links, you need a calibrated precision scale in a closed room with a constant ambient temperature of 20 °C. In addition to the reference temperature, controlled humidity and many other factors are also important.
As a small model construction manufactory to optimize your RC crawlers and trucks, we use a simple letter scale to determine the weight. This is in our well-tempered office, on a flat surface. Before each measurement, the scales are tested with a calibration weight of 100.00 g and readjusted if necessary.
Depending on the quality, letter scales have an accuracy of 0.1 to 1 g. And these are statements that the manufacturers make rather in their favor. We therefore always assume a deviation of +/- 1 g from the weighing result. With set weights of 200 or 300 grams and more, such deviations are negligible.
